This course meets the Florida Board Of Nursing requirements for LPN’s, or RN and is designed to provide basic knowledge of IV therapy practice. All interested healthcare providers are allowed enrollment but must stay within their scope of practice according to Florida law.

The 30 Hrs IV course is achieved via 15 hours of home pre-study and two classroom sessions 7.5 hours of classroom time. Participant will receive hands-on practice with our IV simulation manikins. Topics include: infection control, central line use, fluids, electrolytes, blood, plasma, albumin, TPN therapy, assessment and care. Medication math formulas and dosage calculations are also discussed. The hands-on lab sessions are conducted with an instructor for the peripheral IV insertion and Central Venous access care portions.
